The Importance of ECG Offset Correction for Premature Ventricular Contraction Origin Localization from Clinical Data

Abstract In this study, the inverse solution with a single dipole was computed to localize premature ventricular contraction (PVC) origin from long term multiple leads ECG measurements on fourteen patients. The stability of obtained results studied respect preprocessing signals used as an input and complexity torso model. Two methods were for baseline drift removal. After averaging heartbeats, influence retention or elimination remaining offset at beginning PVC signal examined. computations performed using both homogeneous inhomogeneous patient-specific models. It shown that in averaged had most significant impact resulting position within ventricles. Its stabilizes location results, decreases sensitivity model primary removal method. additional correction decreased mean distance between all patients 17-18 mm 1-2 mm, regardless method complexity.
